Good value for a portfolio

I was looking for a good website builder for my photography portfolio that wouldn't break the bank. I signed up for their annual plan after the free trial. Easy to set up a site

So, I finally got around to making a portfolio site. Heard about Format from someone in a photography group. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, even for me who isn't super techy. I used one of their templates and it looked decent right away. Uploading images was easy. The client galleries feature is neat too, makes sharing proofs with clients a lot simpler than just emailing huge files. It just worked, which was nice.

Love my new portfolio site!

Oh my gosh, I just launched my new photography portfolio on Format and I'm so excited! The templates are gorgeous and it was actually fun to customize it. Reliable for my portfolio needs

Yeah, I think it depends if you're transferring one you already own or getting a new one through them. Both were pretty painless for me, just make sure your DNS settings are right if you're linking an existing one.

Domain registration itself is pretty quick, like minutes. Pointing it to your site can take a few hours to a day or two for the DNS changes to fully go through everywhere, even in Chicago. Shouldn't be too long.

Mine was up in less than 24 hours. The actual site build will probably take you longer than the domain connection!

It depends on the plan, but even the basic ones give you a good amount. Not unlimited, but plenty for a start.

Check their pricing page for the exact numbers. I'm on a higher tier, but I remember even the cheaper ones had enough for a decent portfolio. You can always upgrade if you need more space later.

I moved over from Wix and honestly, the image display and client galleries on Format are just so much cleaner and more professional looking. Squarespace is more general, Format really nails the photography stuff.
